Button easy chair is the 2018 addition to Front’s growing family of customisable lounge furniture for Swedese. The new easy chair shares with its forerunner, the Button sofa, an almost impossible task: to fit as well in an aged-care environment as in the first own home of a young design-savvy buyer. The frame is made of laminated oak or ash veneer. Wooden buttons dot the upholstery. A side table can be attached. A desk and a standing table unit have been added to the Libri family of shelving units. These new desks compliment a unique storage solution that allows for many different configurations and expressions. Libri can be used as a single unit leaning against a wall like a ladder, but also combines with other shelves to run along or extend out from a wall as a room divider. For 2018, three new tabletops in ash—lacquered to match previous tables in the series—are added to the Pond family. Swedese Archive The recently opened Swedese Archive has been assigned the task of collecting the company’s historical records. From sketches, via prototypes, through to original furniture, the archive is a v eritable Swedese treasure trove in the making.
